Buli is named once the buri palm. Alabang is named following the river that passes through the barangay. Ayala Alabang was made by Batas Pambansa Bilang 219 outside of Barangay Alabang. Sucat acquired its identify within the vernacular term "sukat", which suggests "measurement" as it was calculated during the Spanish period.: from a single location
